Virtual Astoria Houses Community Scholarship Announcement + Planning Meeting

Dear Parents and Families in the Save for College Community,
On behalf of the Astoria Houses Tenants Organization and NYC Kids RISE, you are invited to a virtual meeting this Tuesday (August 25th) at 6PM for a special announcement about a new Community Scholarship for your child! On Tuesday, visit this link from your phone or computer to participate and join us.

As you may have heard, the Astoria Houses Tenants Organization is spearheading a campaign to raise $1,000 for every child living in Astoria Houses with a NYC Scholarship Account. This means your child is one of those children that will receive this $1,000 Community Scholarship, if the campaign reaches its goal – more than $100,000 has already been raised! Check out the NYCHA Journal article here.

Please join us this TUESDAY at 6pm for the virtual community meeting about the Community Scholarship by clicking this virtual meeting link.
Tuesday, August 25th

You are among the 129 Astoria Houses families that already have nearly $24,000 saved for their child’s college and career journey. There is an additional $20,000 still available to be claimed for these students in Astoria Houses.
During this event you will have the opportunity to:
