Have you heard the news? For the whole month of February, every order on Seamless includes an option to “Donate the Change” to NYC Kids RISE! Seamless has partnered with NYC Kids RISE as part of their 20th Anniversary in NYC celebrations.
The best part is that NYC Kids RISE will deposit the donated money into the NYC Scholarship Accounts of the current students in the Save for College Program! Around 95% of all current kindergartners and first graders in School District 30 (Long Island City, Hunter’s Point, East Elmhurst, Sunnyside, Astoria, Ditmars, Woodside and Jackson Heights) have an NYC Scholarship Account. The donations will be split evenly across more than 6,000 students’ accounts.*
This is NYC Kids RISE’s first citywide “Community Scholarship” partnership to bring together assets from across New York City and reinvest them toward children’s savings for college and career training. Through this and many other Community Scholarship projects to come, we are demonstrating how the Save for College Program can be a platform for New Yorkers to work together to support every NYC public school child’s educational future.
