First event on Thursday, 4/16 to focus on ways to support families and students through remote learning
WHAT: Today at 6pm, NYC Kids RISE will host the first in a series of virtual events for families starting with “Supporting Your Student, and Yourself, through RemoteLearning.” The event will feature parents and other educational experts who will share best practices for supporting K-2 student’s remote learning, activities parents and children can do together, and tips for supporting parents/guardians to stay effective. Parent/guardians are encouraged to share their own tips and strategies around how they are managing remote learning while taking care of their other responsibilities.
This event will be held in English, and will have Bangla- and Spanish-speaking staff highlighting main points in the Facebook comments during the event. The video will be available after the event in Bangla and Spanish.
The series of events will cover a variety of topics, from navigating financial resources and immigration rights to housing and worker rights.
