- Please note that when arriving at Amalgamated Bank, you will be requesting to open the Amalgamated Save for College Bank Account.
- If you are able to, make your first deposit of at least $5 into your account. We encourage people to make their initial deposit at the same time that they are opening their account. If you deposit at least $5, you will receive a $25 Building Block 3 reward into your child’s NYC Scholarship Account. This is not required, however if you do not fund your account (within the first nine months for the Amalgamated Save for College Bank Account) you are at risk of having the account closed.
