Next, you’ll need to make an account on nysaves.org
At nysaves.org, you will:
- Create an account.
- Choose your investment options.
- Set up your contribution method. If you are going to make contributions electronically, you will need to log into your mobile banking app or website or consult your checkbook for your bank routing and account numbers.
- Decide how you want to receive confirmations of contributions and updates from nysaves.org.
- If you are able to, make your first deposit of at least $5 into your account. We encourage people to make their initial deposit at the same time that they are opening their account. If you deposit at least $5, you will receive a $25 Building Block 3 reward into your child’s NYC Scholarship Account. This is not required, however if you do not fund your account (within the first six months for an NY 529 Direct Plan Account) you are at risk of having the account closed.
- When you are done, return to nyckidsrise.org/connect.
