Planning for Success (English with Mandarin and Korean Interpretation)

Saving for our kids’ college and career training can be challenging, but starting early is key, and we’re here to help!

In school year 2024-2025, through the Save for College Program, kindergarten through third grade students at NYC public schools (including participating charter schools)* have free NYC Scholarship Accounts with $100. This initial $100 came from your community and is just the beginning—your family can save, too!

The Program offers two types of savings accounts that your family can open and use to deposit money in amounts and intervals that make sense for your family. Both are specifically designed for investing in children’s future college and career training. Once opened, the savings account can be linked to your child’s NYC Scholarship Account online, and you will earn a $25 reward for your child’s NYC Scholarship Account for completing that step.
